The Yellow Meadow :)

On Wednesay, the four events I had been attending at the local Job Centre culminated in a day trip to RAF St. Mawgan, an active Air Force base here in Cornwall.

I won't give many details about it, but I will tell you that it was the most awesome time EVER. After the bumpy bus ride there, we started off with a variety of team-building exercises in the site's gym hall. I really enjoyed them, although I tried to overanalyse one of the games we did and nearly ruined it -_-. I loved working in a team to go do the games. We ended up winning against the other group!

Next we did a small careers thing for the RAF. The guy who did the talk made it sound completely amazing, and I actually did look at the website on the jobs available afterwards. Too bad I can't join up with any of the forces though - I'm medically disqualified as a I have diabetes :l

After a delicious lunch courtesy of the base, we did more exercises, thius time on the low ropes. The low ropes are brilliant! We did the spider web exercise where we had to get our whole team through the web without touching any of the cables (and the bottom 4 segments were banned for use!), and also used the cables/platforms thing, and a big long swinging rope. I hurt myself on the final thing but I'm so glad I tried it! I really enjoy it and it gave me a lot more confidence to step up and try new things.

Before we went home, we did a small exercise with interview technique. It too was quite fun :)

Overall, I loved the day and i do hope that they put on the evtn for more people in the future. I will keep my small RAF keyring on my keys with pride! I have an awards ceremony to attend for it next week too :)

Loved it!!

In other news, my articles are going okay and I have now made $0.48! Woo! I tried to put Google Adsense on my blog so I could integrate it with Triond, but I realised that my linking to essays and my Runescape fan fiction may cause issues so I decided against it.
