Cals and the end of the gap year :) 06/09/2011
I've been trying to keep my calories low, and recording my intake (and exercise) with a website called MyPlate, which has been really useful. I'm going to post the entire week every week to see how I've done, which should be interesting. I've worked out an approximation of my Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) to be 1730 calories a day, so my goal is to be under that every day. So far it's gone well, and if I continue with it I should lose weight gradually. All the "burned" calories have been from exercise I've done purposefully and recorded - there will probably be other calories burnt from work and walking and things, but I can't properly measure them so they've been discounted. Still, evevery day in that week has been under my BMR so I'm pleased :) Will start to have weekly weigh-ins I think to see how it's gone! I tried on my blue midi dress yesterday... still won't zip up. SOON! >:) Also got my lovely new dress in the post today - a short leopard-print dress. It'll be awesome for Fresher's, it fits beautifully. :) I've also been told to reduce my insulin (again!) which is exciting. Less insulin means less weight and less painful injections :) I love the tablets! This is my last week of work...I finish at Eden on the 10th. I really want a picture of the Crested Wood Partridges before I go :) They've kept me company during Baobab shifts, and been very loyal and cute. I think I might miss them O_o Starting at Leeds on the 17th! Equally excited and terrified, somehow. I've been working on getting things ready and preparing myself for the course... not doing very well >_< CommentsLeave a Reply |
